The disease of addiction is a complex but treatable disease that affects brain function and behaviors. Alcoholism, drug abuse, and addiction have so many dimensions and disrupts so many aspects of an individual's life. Treatment is not simple because no single treatment is appropriate for everyone. Effective treatment attends to multiple needs of individuals, not just his or her alcohol, substance abuse and addiction problems.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to provide proper placement for alcoholic and substance abuser by way of diagnosis and treatment for the disease of addiction, by primarily performing assessment that will focus on the individual needs in recovery and not just available placement. Our objective is to be accessible to as many individual as possible, by promoting the applications through referrals, education that will enhance the awareness about the disease of addiction, achieve the maximum public benefit, maintain and continual further improvements in our community that an individual may need in order to be able to maintain a life of sobriety.
THE PURPOSE
H.O.W is dedicated to assure that a comprehensive service is provided, that meets the specific needs of the individual seeking the proper assistance for treatment in a program of recovery from addiction, encourage the development of a variety of activities designed for the addict and general public.
H.O.W is not affiliated with any other organization, but does cooperate with organization whose purpose is carrying the message of recovery from addiction.

v RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT SHORT TERM: 28-90 DAYS LONG TERM: 6-18 MONTHS
v OUTPATIENT TREATMENT 16-24 WEEK PROGRAM
v CHEMICAL-FREE LIVING FACILITIES GROUP LIVING FOR MEN OR WOMEN DURING THERE TRANSITIONING OF RECOVERY.
v LOCAL RECOVERY MEETINGS The location of 12 Step or Faith based programs for recovery in your area.
v COURT LIAISON "Are not attorneys or do not provide legal advice." · We work closely with all entities of the judicial system including the Department of Community Corrections (parole/probation) in the efforts to bring about an alternative outcome for those facing legal issues.

o Had times when you ended up drinking or drugging more than intended?
o Continued to drink or drug even though it was causing trouble with family or friends?

12 Signs of Drug Addiction
1) Change in appearance and sudden weight gain or loss, bloodshot eyes, or dilated pupils.
2) Loss of appetite– lack of interest in eating and/or sleeping
3) Lack of personal hygiene– often cease personal grooming
4) Memory loss– unable to recall what they did last night
5) Loss of interest in social activates- loss of motivation for hobbies, exercise, or things that they enjoyed in the past
6) Financial request- sudden unexplained need for money, borrowing or stealing to pay off unexplained debts
7) Secretive behavior- act sneaky, withdrawn from love ones
8) Change in social circle
9) Change in personality
10) High & low periods of extreme hyperactivity followed by periods of fatigue
11) New health concerns- headaches, seizures, tremors
12) Paranoia to a sudden fear or distrust of others with no rational explanation
